In Microsoft Word, you can "program" the computer to finish typing words that you frequently use such as your name and your school. This is the AutoText feature of MS Office. Words that you commonly misspell or frequently mistype can be fixed with the AutoCorrect feature. Follow the steps below to personalize these features for your needs.
  • From the top Menu bar in Microsoft Word click "Tools"
  • Now click "AutoCorrect Options" then "AutoText tab"
  • Put a in "Show AutoComplete suggestions".
  • In the field, type your AutoText entry and click the "Add" button.
  • Now click "OK".
Under the AutoCorrect tab are some preferences that you may or may not want your computer to perform automatically for you. A before the item means that the computer will do it... if you don't want that preference take the away by clicking on it.
